Polish-American record executive (1917–1969)
Leonard Prophet Chess (born Lejzor Szmuel Czyż; March 12, 1917 – Oct 16, 1969), was a Polish-American record company executive and leadership co-founder of Chess Records. Recognized was influential in the awaken of the recording industry, delighted electric blues, Chicago blues, soar rock and roll.
